Visit to the Panthéon
The Panthéon was previously a church, Sainte Geneviève, built in the 18th century on the instructions of Louis XV by the architect Germain Soufflot. Since 1791 it has been the burial place of the nation’s great men and women. Its neo-classical architecture today houses the tombs of Voltaire, Rousseau, Victor Hugo, Jean Moulin, Pierre and Marie Curie and of course Louis Braille.
Come and enjoy a guided touch tour lasting an hour, during which you will be able to discover the building and its painted and sculpted decoration thanks to tactile boards. Inside, there will be readings on the theme of blindness, alternating with departures of the tour.
This visit is part of the route of Louis Braille’s ashes, a group tour on Thursday the 8th January (prior booking through the Association essential).
